Blooms Day 2007

Sunday was Blooms Day...it is a 12.5 km road race thru Spokane. My sister thought it would be a great ideal for us siblings to do it together...and it was so much fun!!! I won't mention how long it took us to do it...but I will say my brother is in MUCH better shape than I am!!!!! Thanks Lisa, it was a blast!

Hi my best Kelli Stockwell friend!!!! This post is all about you and how great you are... and to celebrate that it is only 364 more days until you join 'THE CLUB!' (and belated, not because I forgot, but because I have a time management problem! I am so sorry!!!)

I value you so much! You are a treasure in my life. It was so fun going thru all of these old photos and remembering the fun we have had!!!! (But in all that time I only have one picture with you...how sad!... we'll fix that later this month!) I thank God for you and Curt in our lives. Thank you for being such a faithful friend and for always speaking truth to me! I count it great joy that we are growing together. Won't it be great when we are so old and we get to look back at all the years we will have had raising kids and camping and loving Jesus together!!!!

I love you tons and we will celebrate big in just 19 days or so!!!!

Third...the best birthday present ever...
My sweetest sister on the whole planet took me to see Rascal Flatts on Sunday! It was so fun! Of course, I forgot my camera so I don't have any pictures for you, so you'll just have to take my word for it. I think the best part was that it wasn't actually my birthday...in fact, my birthday is not until August! Thank you Lisa!!! I had a wonderful time!

I think this may have been the looonnngggest winter evvvveeerrr!!!! But we are thinking SPRING! (Hence the green.)

Bella is starting to walk more, and that is so fun. We get to go see my Dad next weekend and my favorite sister in the world is taking me to see Rascal Flatts!!!! How fun is that?!?

Quick little praise, Bill is a great fixer. He fixed our bumper from when someone hit and ran us over christmas in a parking lot. We want to sell our car, so please be praying for us. We are going to get out of debt, and it is going to feel better than driving our beautiful car (...that I really don't want to sell...but change is good).

4. Bill married me even though I once told him I wouldn't be his Betty Crocker and baby factory.
5. I am now happy being both (...and besides, the rewards are great!)
6. We have the sweetest daughter in the world.
7. She makes us laugh every day.
8. She has the best smile!
9. Her awe and wonder of the world around her teaches us to love everything anew.
10. She warms our hearts every time we look at her.
11. We are healthy!
12. We are full of life and dreams and passion.
13. The Lord loves us.

46. Safari is just the icing on the cake though,
47. we have been so blessed to be a part of so many wonderful ministries in Ugnanda.
48. I got to teach in the Bible College in Uganda,
49. and help start a computer college,
50. and set up their library,
51. and live in an orphanage,
52. where I saw miracles happen,
53. and I know lives were changed.
54. We have given small amounts of money to people who you would have thought they just won the lottery,
55. and it truly changed their lives.
56. Bill got to start a pig farm!
57. We have wonderful friends in Uganda.
58. We have been blessed to get to worship God in Ugandan
59. and worship in Uganda is like the sound of heaven to me.
60. We are stateside for now,
61. but part of our heart will always be in Uganda,
62. and we are going to visit this fall!!!!
63. And Arrabella gets to take her first mission trip!
64. We just bought our first home.
65. It is a 1917 house!
66. We have a big red barn!
67. Our home was completly restord before we moved in,
68. by a tile worker who gave us a marble bathroom.
69. It is a lifesize doll house as Bill put it.
70. We have a wonderful new church.
71. With a very balanced Pastor.
72. Hans and Nicole, who have been in Detroit, are coming home!!!!!
73. and they have a new job that is paying to help them move.
74. Curt and Kelli are moving back too

77. Spokane is the best place in the world to live

79. yes, I am trying to convince myself I am blessed to live here.

Praise and Prayer

Well, I have a quick praise report...our bathroom (bath tub) was leaking, quite badly, but Bill found where it was coming from and I think we were able to fix it...which is a really good thing (and which leads into my prayer request) ...please be praying for us. We are still transitioning and it has been a really hard week. I miss home and want to run. Finances are tight because it was starting the business all over by moving. And life is just a little heavy right now. I know, that I know that God called us here and I know it will all work out, but it has been a challenging week! Thanks!

As you all know, last night was the State of the Union Address. Well, the most precious thing... this little girl who I can't even get to watch Veggie Tales and who shows only partial interest in Baby Einstein, was GLUED to the television watching the President! (It was a very deep moment for me.) I love this country...I deep respect for the office of the President....I voted for him and I think he has a tough job....I have deep respect for him. I believe all authority is God given (Rom 13:1). I also believe all government rests on His shoulders (Is. 9:6).

I know some of you may disagree, and that's okay...but none the less, Arrabella was captivated!

Wow! It has been a LONG time since I posted last. I have a lot of catching up to do!

April was fun. On the 30th we had Bella dedicated in Roseburg. (I don't have pictures of that online because we were using a different camera that weekend.) Also that weekend we had a really fun Barbeque hosted by Summer and Shaun were everyone came to meet our babe.

May - We went to Pennsylvania to so Belle could meet here Great Grandma. While we were there Bella cut her first 2 teeth....she wasn't even 4 months old yet! Bill was so sad he missed it. Then at the end of the month we went to California so Belle could meet all of her Thomas relatives...especially Grandma and Grandpa!!!!! We surprised them, it was so fun!

June - Bill went to Uganda for 3 weeks! I don't know how I made it without him except for the grace of God. We were sooooo happy to have him home!

July - So many first!!!! The zoo, the ocean, 4th of July, swimmin', sunnin'....we have had a blast! Actually we went to the ocean 3 times in July....we want to buy a house in Westport so bad!!!!

August - Another big month! I turned 30 and Bella learned to crawl! She is on the go now! I love it, she chases my feet! She is such a doll!

September - Well it is only the 5th, but it has already been a big month...we just closed on our first home!!!!! Thank you Jesus! Hip horray! We bought a house! I have to download the pics, I will do that later....

At last!!!!! I have finally updated the blog site!!!! I am so sorry it has taken me so long...I have been very busy with the cutest little girl in the whole wide world...as you can see for yourself now. :)

You can see all 39 pictures that we posted to the web (not all of them are on the blog site) by double clicking on any of the photos. It takes you straight to our flickr account.

Okay, I have spent way to much time on this computer....more time making mistakes than acutally blogging, but I have a hungry girl and I must go. Now since I know how to do this I will do it more often...and Bill knows how to also, so you can all bug him if I don't get to it. (That was a lonnnnnngggg sentence!)
